Patna : Active cases further dropped to 6,348 in Bihar including 733 in Patna on June 11 as only 566 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 10, 2021. The active case count in Bihar was 6,895 on June 10, 2021. Bihar also reported 14 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar visited some ares of Patna on June 11, 2021, and found that many people were still not wearing face masks. He urged the people to wear face mask and maintain a physical distance of 6 feet. The CM also reviewed the Covid -19 situation in the state on June 11, 2021, with the officials and issued necessary direction to them.
Of the 7,16,296 Covid-19 cases reported so far in Bihar, a total of 7,00,481 patients have been declared cured including 1,099 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.79% on June 11 from 97.22% on June 10, 2021. The state has tested 3,10,93,130 samples so far including 1,10,119 samples on June 10, 2021.
The 566 new Covid-19 cases included 45 in Patna, 42 in Gopalganj, 37 in Muzaffarpur, 33 in Purnia, 31 in samastipur, 26 in Darbhanga, 26 in Araria, 25 in Munger, 24 in Supaul, 23 in Katihar, and 20 in Begusarai.
The 14 new deaths due to Covid-19 in the state included 2 in Purnia, 2 in Araria, 2 in Darbhanga, and 2 in Gaya. With it, the Covid-19 toll climbed to 612 in Muzaffarpur, 345 in Darbhanga, 306 in Bhagalpur, 277 in Gaya, 173 in Purnia, 157 in Bhojpur, 120 in Sitamarhi, 110 in Araria, 110 in Madhepura, and 93 in Gopalganj.
