Patna : Active cases count dropped to 83 in Bihar including 61 in Patna on December 16, 2021, down from 87 a day before, as only 5 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on December 15, 2021. The state, however, recorded one new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 12,03 in the state on December 16, 2021.
Bihar has logged 7,26,351 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,14,174 patients have recovered including 8 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) standing at 98.32% on December 16, 2021. The state has tested 5,85,43,566 samples so far including 1,60,379 samples on December 15, 2021.
The lone death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours was reported in Patna. With this the toll increased to 2,787 in Patna on December 16, 2021, according to state Health Department figure. The 5 new Covid-19 cases included 2 in Patna and 1 each in Gaya, Munger, and Rohtas.
