Patna : Active cases further dropped to 4,359 in Bihar including 440 in Patna on June 15 as only 410 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 14, 2021. The Active cases count was 4,771 in the state on June 14, 2021. The state reported 9 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,514 in the state on June 15, 2021.
The 410 new Covid-19 cases included 57 in Patna, 56 in Gopalganj, 25 in Supaul, 22 in Purnia, 19 in Begusarai, 18 in Saran, and 17 in Kishanganj. Of the 7,17,949 Covid-19 cases reported in the state so far, altogether 7,04,075 patients have been declared cured including 813in last 24 hours with the recovery rate improving to 98.07% on June 15 from 98.01% on June 14, 2021. Bihar has tested 3,15,44,695 samples so far including 1,15,280 samples on June 14, 2021.
The 9 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 2 in West Champaran. With it, the toll climbed to 2,315 in Patna, 355 in West Champaran, 350 in Darbhanga,247 in Saran, 123 in Sitamarhi, 123 in Supaul, and 74 in Arwal.
