Patna : Active cases further declined to 3,016 in Bihar including 342 in Patna on June 21 as only 245 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 20, 2021. Active cases count was 3,188 in Bihar on June 20, 2021. Bihar recorded 7 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,557 in the state on June 21, 2021.

Of the 7,19,939 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, a total of 7,07,365 patients have been declared cured including 410 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.25% on June 21 from 98.23% on June 20, 2021. The state has tested 3,21,83,413 samples so far including 86,154 samoles on June 20, 2021.

The 245 new Covid-19 cases included 30 in Gopalganj, 27 in Patna, 20 in Nalanda, 20 in Jamui, 18 in Purnia, 12 in Samastipur, 9 in Khagaria, 9 in Lakhisarai, 8 in Supaul, 8 in Darbhanga, 8 in Siwan, 7 in Begusarai, 7 in Muzaffarpur, 7 in Saran,  6 in Araria, 6 in Gaya, and 5 in Madhepura.

the 7 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 2 in Purnia, and 1 each in Madhubani, Saharsa, Saran, Bhojpur, and Darbhanga. With it, the toll climbed to 353 in Darbhanga, 328 in Madhubani, 251 in Saran, 178 in Purnia, 158 in Bhojpur, and 131 in Saharsa.
