Patna : Active cases count jumped to 49 in Bihar including 35 in Patna in last 24 hours, up from 35 cases on December 8, 2021, as 17 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state. Nine persons had tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on December 8. Bihar, however, did not report any new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours and the toss remained static at 12,090 on December 9, 2021.
Bihar has logged 7,26,276 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,14,136 patients have recovered including 3 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) standing at 98.33% on December 9, 2021. The state has tested 5,74,08,796 samples so far including 1,63,136 samples on December 8, 20211
The 17 new Covid-19 cases included 14 in Patna and 1 each in Begusarai, Gaya, and Nalanda, according to State Health Department figure. Bihar Health Minister says the state is prepared to tackle Omicron threat.
