Patna : Active cases further dropped to 1,221 in Bihar including 206 in Patna on July 6 as 143 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on July 5, 2021, up from 76 on July 4, 2021. The Active cases count in Bihar was 1,304 on July 5, 2021. Bihar recorded 5 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,611 in the state on July 6, 2021.
The 143 new Covid-19 cases included 17 in Patna, 12 in Purnia, 11 in Madhubani, 9 in Begusarai, 8 in Kishanganj, 6 in Araria,6 in Madhepura, 6 in Muzaffarpur, 6 in Saharsa, 5 in Bhagalpur, 5 in Saran, and 5 in Vaishali.
Altogether 7,11,913 Covid-19 patients have been declared cured in Bihar so far including 221 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.50% on July 6 from 98.49% on July 5, 2021. Bihar has tested 3,38,75,754 samples so far including 1,07,092 samples on July 5, 2021, according to State Health Department figure.
Samastipur, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Siwan, and Gaya recorded 1 death each due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours. With it, the toll climbed to 361 in Darbhanga, 279 in Gaya, 167 in Siwan, 153 in Samastipur, 127 in Sitamarhi.
