Patna : Active cases further declined to 1,539 in Bihar including 247 in Patna on July 3 as only 136 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on July 2, 2021, down from 181 on July 1, 2021. Active cases count in Bihar was 1,6,92 on July 2, 2021. Bihar recorded 5 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,599 in the state on July 3, 2021.
Bihar has recorded 722418 Covid-10 cases so far of which 7,11,279 patients have been declared cured including 284 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.46% on July 3, 2021, from 98.44% on July 2. The state has tested 3,35,67,148 samples so far including 1,10,814 samples on July 2, 2021.
The 136 new Covid-19 cases included 22 in Patna, 16 in Purnia, 8 in Araria, 8 in Samastipur, 7 in Muzaffarpur, 6 in Saran, 5 in Bhagalpur, 5 in Gaya, 5 in Nawada, 4 in Kishanganj, and 4 in Nalanda.
The 5 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 1 each in Nawada, Purnia, Darbhanga, Jamui, and Banka. With it, the toll climbed to 359 in Darbhanga, 180 in Purnia, 178 in Nawada, 112 in Banka, and 106 in Jamui on July 3, 2021.
