Bihar Govt. transfers DMs of Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Purnia, Samastipur, & Begusarai

Patna :In a major administrative shake up, Bihar Government on August 27, 2019, transferred 16 IAS officers including the DMs of Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Purnia, Samastipur, and Begusarai, Secretaries of Labour Resources  Food & Consumer Protection, Industry, and Health Departments, and Commissioners of Tirhut Division, Muzaffarpur, and Magadh Division, Gaya.

K Senthil Kumar, a 1996 batch IAS officer and Secretary, Labour Resources Department, has been transferred and appointed Commissioner, Kosi Division, Saharsa.

Pankaj Kumar, a 1997 batch IAS officer and Secretary, Food & Consumer Protection Department, has been transferred too and appointed Commissioner, Tirhut Division, Muzaffarpur. He has replaced Narmadeshwar Lal, a 1998 batch IAS officer, who has been appointed Secretary, Industry Department.

Pankaj Kumar Pal, Commissioner, Magadh Division, a 2002 batch IAS officer, has also been transferred and appointed Secretary, Food & Consumer Protection Department.

Secretary, Industry Department, Lokesh Kumar Singh, a 2003 batch IAS officer, has been shifted and appointed Secretary, Health Department. He has replaced his batchmate Asangwa Chuba Aao, who has been appointed Commissioner, Magadh Division.

Purnia DM Pradip Kumar Jha, a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been transferred and appointed Special Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department.

Samastipur DM Chandrashekhar Singh, also a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been shifted and appointed Director, Panchayati Raj while Sitamarhi DM Dr Ranjit Kumar Singh, a 2008 batch IAS officer, has been transferred and appointed Director, Primary Education. Vaishali DM Rajiv Raushan, a 2010 batch IAS officer, has been transferred and appointed Additional Secretary, Rural Development Department.

Begusarai DM Rahul Kumar, a 2011 batch IAS officer, has been shifted too and appointed DM, Purnia, while Director, Primary Education, Arvind Kumar Verma, a 2012 batch IAS officer, has been transferred and appointed DM, Begusarai.

Ms Udita Singh, a 2014 batch IAS officer and Joint Secretary, Revenue & Land Reforms Department, has been transferred and appointed DM, Vaishali, while Abhilasha Kumari Sharma, a 2014 batch IAS officer and DDC, Banka, has been shifted and appointed DM, Sitamarhi.

Shashank Shubhankar, another 2014 batch IAS officer and DDC, Bhojpur, has been transferred and appointed DM, Samastipur. Amit Kumar Pandey, also a 2014 batch IAS officer and DDC, Katihar, has been shifted and appointed CEO cum City Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation.

The Government on August 27 also relieved 2005 batch IAS officer & Director, Panchayati Raj, Kuldeep Narain, for central deputation. Narain has been appointed Private Secretary to Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey. The General Administration Department issued notification to these changes on August 27, 2019.
