Bihar govt shifts 11 SPs, 3 City SPs

Patna : In a major reshuffle effected in Police administration, Bihar government on July 31, 2017, shifted several IPS and Bihar Police Service officials. The SPs of East Champaran, Saran, Samastipur, Lakhisarai, Banka, Buxar, Araria, Bhojpur, Begusarai, Jehanabad, Nalanda, City SP ( East), Patna, City SP, Central, Patna,  City SP, Gaya, have been transferred.

Sunil Kumar, an IPS officer of 1987 batch and DG, Bihar Police Academy, has been transferred and appointed DG cum CMD, Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation. Gupteshwar Pandey, another IPS officer of 1987 batch and ADG, Wireless and Technical Services, has been promoted to the rank of DG with effect from August 1, 2017, and appointed DG, Bihar Police Academy.

Preeta Verma, an IPS officer of 1991 batch and ADG, Modenisation, has been given additional charge of ADG, Wireless and Technical Services. Anil Kishore Yadav, an IPS officer of 1996 batch and IG, Weaker Sections, CID, has been transferred and appointed IG, Training, Patna.

Manju Jha, an IPS officer of 1999 batch and DIG, Munger, has been shifted and appointed IG, Weaker Sections, CID. Vinod Kumar Chaudhary, an IPS officer of 1999 batch and DIG, CID, has been given additional charge of DIG, Homeguards, Bihar. DIG, Bhangalpur range, Vikas Vaibhav, has been given additional charge of range DIG, Munger. DIG, Tirhut range, Anil Kumar Singh, has been given additional charge of DIG, BMP, North Division, Muzaffarpur.

Bhojpur SP Chhatranil Singh, an IPS officer of 2005 batch, has been transferred and appointed Commandant, BMP 6, Muzaffarpur. East Champaran SP and an IPS officer of 2005 batch, Jitendra Rana, too has been transferred and appointed Additional Secretary, Social Welfare Department. Saran SP and an IPS officer of 2006 batch Anusuiya Ran Sinh Sahu has also been transferred and made SP, Weaker Sections and Women’s Cell, CID, Patna.

Samastipur SP andan IPS officer of 2006 batch Nawal Kishore Singh has been transferred and made Assistant to IG, Training. SP Lakhisarai and an IPS officer of 2006 batch Ashok Kumar has been shifted and appointed SP ( A), Special Branch. Banka SP and an IPS officer of 2006 batch Rajiv Ranjan has been shifted and appointed Commandant, Homeguards.

Begusarai SP and an IPS officer of 2007 batch Ranjit Kumar Mishra has bben transferred and appointed SP, Special Task Force ( Training and Operations). Buxar SP andan IPS officer of 2008 batch Upendra Sharma goes to East Champaran in the same capacity. Araria SP and an IPS officer of 2010 batch Sudhir Kumar Porika goes to Nalanda in the same capacity. City SP, East, Patna, and an IPS officer of 2010 batch, Ms Dhurat Sayali Savlaram, too has been shifted and made SP, Araria.

City SP, Central, Patna, Chandan Kushwaha, an IPS officer of 2010 batch, has been shifted and appointed SP, Banka. Hehanabad SP and an IPS officer of 2011 batch Aditya Kumar has been transferred and made SP, Begusarai. Commandant, Homeguards andan IPS officer of 2011 batch,  Harkishore Rai, has been shifted and made SP, Saran.

Nalanda SP and an IPS officer of 2012 batch Kumar Ashish too has been shifted and appointed Commandant BMP 12, Saharsa. Avakash Kumar, an IPS officer of  2012 batch and City SP, Gaya, has been transferred and made SP, Bhojpur. Another IPS officer of 2012 batch and SP, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Dipak Ranjan, has been transferred and made SP, Smastipur.

Rakesh Kumar, an IPS officer of 2013 batch and SDPO, Phulwarisharif, Patna, goes to Buxar as SP. Another 2013 batch IPS officer and SDPO, Belsand, Sitamarhi, D Amarkesh, has been shifted and made City SP, Central, Patna.

Jaggunath Reddy Jalareddy, an IPS officer of 2013 batch and SDPO, Bhabhua, has been shifted and appointed City SP, Gaya. Another 2013 batch IPS officer and SDPO, Sadar, Chhapra, Manish, has bben transferred too and appointed SP, Jehanabad. Vishal Verma, also an IPS officer of 2013 batch and SDPO, Manihari, Katihar, has been shifted too and made City SP, East, Patna. Upendranath Verma, also an IPS officer of 2013 batch and SDPO.Mahnar, Vaishali, has been transferred and made City SP, Muzaffarpur.

Arvind Thakur, who has been promoted as an IPS officer and Additional SP, Economic Offence Unit, has been transferred  and made SP, Lakhisarai. Amjad Ali, newly promoted IPS officer and Additional SP, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, has been appointed SP, Vigilance Bureau. Faroguddin, newly promoted IPS officer and Commandant, BMP 10, has again been appointed Commandant, BMP 10, after promotion.
