Patna : Bihar Government on February 27, 2020, extended the terms of Chairman and Members of Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) by three years or till they age the age of 68 years whichever comes earlier with effect from the date their present term ends. The term of its Chairman Sunit Kumar, a 1980 batch retired IPS officer, on April 4, 2020.
The BPSSC Members whose term has been extended are : A K Prasad, a 1988 batch Indian Forest Service officer and Chief Conservator of Forest; Anwar Hussain, a 1998 batch retired IPS officer; and Varun Kumar Sinha, a 2002 batch retired IPS officer. Home (police) department issued a notification to this effect on February 27, 2020. Anwar Hussain’s term expires on March 26, 2020, while Varun Kumar Sinha’s term expires on April 4, 2020.
