Patna : With the Covid-19 positivity rate being over 10% for the past one week across the state , Bihar Government on May 4, 2021, decided to enforce complete lockdown from May 5, 2021, to May 15, 2021, to check the spread of the disease and management of treatment of patients . The government decided to enforce the lockdown till May 15, 2021, after a meeting of Crisis Management Group (CMG) on May 3, 2021.
Barring essential services including district administration, police, electricity, water supply, health services, telecommunication, petrol pumps, postal service, ATMs, and banking services, construction works, e-commerce, all the government offices will remain closed. Air and train services will continue. Shops, commercial, and other private establishments will also remain closed. Barring exceptions, movement of vehicles will not be allowed on the roads. All the schools, colleges, and coaching institutes too will remain closed. No university and school exams will be conducted during the lockdown period.
