Patna : Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind on May 10, 2017, attended mass marriage of Divyang on Sampatchak Water Park campus, Patna, and described the event as unique as it was above caste considerations.

Governor Kovind was the chief guest at the function organised by Viklang Adhikar Manch. He said that the Divyang were not no longer a burden on the society as they were contributing to the social development works. Governor Kovind and lady governor provided stoves and LPG connections to the Divyang couples. Union IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that his ministry can impart digital training to them besides recommending battery run tricycle for them.
