Bargaon ( Saharsa) : Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey, a 1987 batch IPS, officer, has taken voluntary retirement from service. Bihar Government on September 22, 2020, allowed Pandey to take voluntary retirement relaxing the three month’s notice period.
Sanjiv Kumar Singhal, DG ( Homeguards), has been given additional charge of DGP, Bihar. Singhal is a 1988 batch IPS officer. State Home (Police) department issued a notification to this effect on September 22, 2020.
Pandey had taken over as DGP, Bihar, on January 31,2019. Pandey had submitted his application seeking voluntary retirement from service on September 22, 2020, itself.
