Ara : Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has asked for a report from Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar on suicide by a farmer Dashrath Bind, 55, at village Milki under Sinhapolice outpost (OP), Ara, after holding a thorough inquiry into it. The Bhojpur DM sent an inquiry team comprising District Agriculture Officer (DAO) and the Block Development Officer (BDO), Barhara, to village Milki on April 9, 2018, to inquire into the suicide.

Dashrath Bind, 55, a farmer of Milki Village in Bhojpur district had committed suicide by hanging himself from the branch of a mango tree at his village on April 8, 2018, morning,  as he was devastated after a hailstorm damaged his mango crops about a week ago. He had purchased a mango orchard after borrowing money from villagers and was hoping rich profit from the harvest. He was hoping to repay his loan from the profit he would have made from the harvest. He was very upset after his mango crops were damaged due to hailstorm.
