Patna : Bihar Industries Association (BIA) President K P S Keshri assured support to innovative and new ideas from young entrepreneurs to enhance the startup ecosystem in the sate. The BIA on June 28, 2018, launched ” Business Plan Competion 2018.”

Bihar’s first Business Incubation Centre, ‘Venture Park’, providing incubation to numerous startups with facilities like co-working space, mentoring and networking support, legal assistance, taxation, accounts, project report, visibility etc. is a recognized incubator of Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Government of India, supported by Department of Industries, Government of Bihar as well, Keshri said.

Venture Park, BIA, for third year in a row is organizing “Business Plan Competition (BPC) 2018” in which startups and budding entrepreneurs can participate with their innovative business ideas and plans. Participants need to visit biaincubator.com and submit their business ideas. Submission of ideas is on and the last date to participate is July 31,2018.

A first prize of Rs 1 lakh, second prize of Rs 50,000, third prize of Rs 25,000 and 3 consolation prizes worth Rs 10,000  await the winners this year, an increase over last year’s prize values. Winners of the competition will be getting the prize money at BIA’s next big event, “Bihar Startup Conclave 2018”.

Indian Angel Network along with Bihar Government, the technical and funding partners of BPC, hope the competition will be a successful platform like previous past two editions. Keshri also acknowledged the helpful approach of state government towards startups visible in the form  interest-free loan up to Rs 10 lakh for 10 years.

The first two editions of Business Plan Competition saw 2 exciting startups as winners namely Akansha Singh’s “Swayambhu” (2016) and Chandrashekhar Prasad’s “Material-Haat” (2017) focusing on Bio-energy and Online Trading respectively. BIA Vice-President Sanjay Bhartiya was also present on the occasion.
