Ara : Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari has suspended Sub-Inspector (SI) Dilip Kumar Nirala with immediate effect and also recommended department proceedings against him for allegedly accepting bribe for extending favour to a person.
A named FIR was lodged with Ara Town police station (PS) in this connection. The SI had come to limelight during Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 for making people aware of Coronavirus by singing songs from popular Hindi film like “Jindagi Imthan Leti Hain’ and ‘Admi Musafir Hai’.
Dilip Kumar Nirala is at present posted at Jgdishpur PS.He had allegedly taken Rs 26,500 from a person to get a house vacated from illegal possession. Vishwanath Prasad lodged a named FIR against the SI with Ara Town PS in this regard. Dilip Kumar Nirala was at that posted at Ara Town PS.
Vishwanath Prasad, in his FIR, alleged that his daughter Sunita Devi had purchased a house at Shivganj under Ara Town PS but Arjun Prasad, Dilip Prasad, did not let her enter the house. He complained to the SI, Ara Town PS, Dilip Kumar Nirala who called him behind the Arya Samaj Mandir and took Rs 26,500 from him on July 20, 202, for getting the house vacated. His son Anil videographed the moment. The SI flared up and snatched his mobile worth about Rs 15,000. Meanwhile, the SI was transferred to Jagdishpur police station. Vishwanath Prasad said that he talked the SI and demanded the mobile phone but the SI lost his temper. He neither returned the mobile phone nor the money nor got the house vacated.
SP Vinay Tiwari said that an FIR has been lodged with police against the SI and SDPO Himanshu is investigating the matter and added stern legal action would be taken after the inquiry report comes.
