Bhojpur SP suspends 4 cops for collecting money from truck drivers

Ara : Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar on January 23, 2019, suspended four police personnel including an ASI posted at Ara Town police station for allegedly realising money from trucks illegally during patrolling. He has also served show cause notices on the Station House Officer (SHO), Ara Town police station, and two lady constables in this connection.

Bhojpur SP said that he got information that some police personnel were realising money from the truck drivers near Dharahara locality under Ara Town police station on January 22, 2019, night on Ara-Patna main road after parking police vehicle on the road causing long queue of vehicles on either side of the road. The SP immediately sent SDPO Pankaj Kumar there who caught the police personnel collecting money illegally from the truck drivers and informed the SP. The SP suspended ASI Budhan Singh and three other police personnel with immediate effect.
