Ara : Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar lon April 1, 2020, aunched an App “Bhojpur Police App” to address complaints of the people during lockdown enforced in the country after outbreak of COVID-19. Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar said that police will now carry medicine and other essential commodities to the door of people on their request and to facilitate this ‘Bhojpur Police App’ has been launched. The SP said that people may complain or inform police through this App and they will respond immediately and reach the spot for redressal of their grievances.
The SP further said that anyone may download the App and get an OTP and after submission of the OTP, the App starts working. To get the service of the App one should give his /her name and mobile phone number and the name of police station concerned. After that, one should submit prescription of doctor for medicine or list of essential commodities. The shopkeeper will then carry the desired things to the door and payment will have to be made on delivery.The SP stated that one can file complaint and apply for character certificates through the App.
Meanwhile, Bhojpur police detained at least 60 labourers under Dhangai police station in Bhojpur district and brought them to Ara Sadar Hospital for thermal screening. All the 60 labourers were on way to Barh in Bihar from Gujarat violating the lockdown.
Police have earmarked five places : HNK High School, Ara, Boys Middle School, Piro, Kanya Middle School, Bihia, Harinarayan Singh High School, Shahpur, and Swarath Sahoo High School, Jagdishpur, for stay and food for the persons coming from outside Bhojpur district. Altogether 530 persons are staying at these five quarantine centres. The Government Rail Police (GRP), Ara, and Railway Protection Force (RPF) fed at least 30 helpless persons on Platform No 1 at Ara railway station on April 1, 2020.
A vegetable market has been opened on the playground on the campus of Bihia Inter college to check coronavirus and ensure compliance lockdown to maintain social distancing.
