Bhojpur police seize 55 packets of Heroin

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested a drug peddler from Paswan Chowk under Nawada police station, Ara, on February 7, 2019, and  seized 15 packets of Heroin from his possession. The drug peddler was in drunken state and so he could not be identified. Police sent him to jail.

In another development, police arrested Md Arman, a betel shop owner from Sandesh Bazaar under Sandesh police station along with 78 grams of Ganja and sent him to jail.

Bhoujur police, on a tip off, also conducted raids at Chandawa Bandh under Nawada police station on February 7 and arrested Kundan Paswan of village Chawkipur under Gajrajganj police outpost with 40 packets of Heroin though his associate Umesh Paswan of the same village managed to escape.

SHO, Nawada police station, Subodh Kumar, said that Umesh Paswan had Heroin and he had gone to Kundan asking him to take it for personal use. Seeing police, Umesh Paswan threw the bag and escaped and police arrested Kundan Paswan.
