Bhojpur police seize 1,850 bottles of IMFL from Mahuli Ghat, 3 held

Ara : Police seized 1,850 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from Mahuli Ghat under Khwaspur police outpost in Bhojpur District on October 27, 2019, late evening. Police also arrested three liquor smugglers besides seizing a motorcycle from the spot.

The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Mahesh Yadav, son of Nemdhari Yadav, Sugriv Yadav and Bhuwar Yadav, sons of Raghunath Yadav of Hari Tola under Khwaspur police outpost. A named FIR has been lodged by Khwaspur police outpost against the arrested liquor smugglers  under the Prohibition & Excise Act. Police later sent them to jail after interrogation.

SHO, Khwaspur police outpost, R K Mandal said that he got information that some liquor smugglers had come at Mahuli ghat with a big consignment of IMFL. Police immediately swung into action and conducted raids at Mahuli Ghat and arrested three liquor smugglers and also seized 1,850 bottles of IMFL packed in 40 cartons, the SHO said.
