Bhojpur police paste Istehar on the residence of Barhara RJD MLA

Ara : Bhojpur police on July 6, 2018, pasted an ‘Ishtehar’ on the wall of the residence of RJD MLA from Barhara Saroj Yadav at village Keshavpur after the court issued an order to this effect in this regard after declaring him absconder. Now, police will move Patna High Court for attachment of his property.

SDO, Flood Control, Water Resources Department, Sri Niwas Ram, had filed a named FIR with Barhara police station against the RJD MLA from Barhara in Bhojpur district Saroj Yadav and others on May 22, 2018, under SC/ST Act  for threatening him with dire consequences and abusing him on caste line.

ASP Nitin Kumar along with heavy police force had gone to Keshavpur on June 20,2018, to arrest the MLA but failed to locate him. On June 21, 2018, the MLA and his supporters had announced to block Ara-Patna road in protest against the police bid to arrest him but they could not be successful in their mission due to heavy deployment of force.

After they failed to arrest the MLA, police moved to the court for the issuance of order to paste ‘Ishtehar’ on the walls of the MLA’s house.
