Ara : Police have arrested two liners in connection with the recent murder of Dipu Chaudhary, nephew of a notorious criminal Butan Chaudhary of Belaur village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur District.
Police have also recovered two countymade pistols, five live cartridges, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle used in the murder. The arrested liners were identified as Banty Kumar alias Pankaj Kumar of village Ekwari under Sahar police station and Shivam Kumar of illage vChailhaus under Sandesh police station. They confessed their role in the crime before police.
Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai said that Pankaj Kumar and Shivam Kumar had played role of liners in the murder of Dipu Chaudhary and added that the conspiracy of an inmate of Ara jail and notorious criminal Ranjeet Chaudhary has come to light in the murder. The SP further said that Pankaj Kumar has criminal history and a case is pending with Sahar police station against him. He stated that four persons were involved in the murder and police are conducting raids to arrest all of them.
It may be mentioned here that Dipu Chaudhary along with his father Upendra Chaudhary and friends was returning from Ara Civil Court after meeting his uncle Butan Chaudhary when some armed miscreants fired on Dipu Chaudhary and his friend and injured them. Dipu Chaudhary succumbed to his injuries on the spot. After the murder, the SP formed a police team to arrest the miscreants.
