Ara : Police, on a tip off, arrested terror of Piro Sub-Division in Bhojpur District Jitu Yadav from Naya Bus Stand on October 27, 2019, night, in connection with a number of criminal cases including attack on a police team. He is a resident of Balua Tola under Piro police station in Bhojpur district.
Bhojpur SP Shushil Kumar said on October 29, 2019, that Jitu Yadav had taken contract of Rs 10 lakh to kill a widow Dewanti Kuer of Piro Ward No 13. Some family members of Dewanti Kuer had allegedly given contract for her murder for capturing the family property, the SP said. He said that during interrogation Jitu Yadav revealed names of his three associates in the murder of the widow and added that police are conducting raids to arrest them. The SP added that police had already arrested two miscreants in connection with the murder of the widow.
The SP said when police team was returning after arresting Jitu Yadav from Balua Tola, some miscreants attacked the police team and a separate FIR were lodged against Jitu Yadav. Jitu Yadav was wanted in another 17 cases of loot, murder, theft and road robbery.
