Ara : Bhojpur police with the help of their Rohtas counterpart arrested a member of Entry Passing gang Mumtaz Khan, a scooter mechanic, from village Mohani under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district, after a video went viral on social media showing him realising illegal money from overloaded trucks.

A named FIR was lodged with Hasan Bazaar police station in Bhojpur against him and some police personnel of Rohtas have also been made accused. The action was taken after arrest of five police personnel including an SI of Bhojpur district for allegedly realising illegal money from overloaded trucks.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar on June 26, 2020, said that a video showing collection of illegal amount from overloaded trucks had gone viral on social media in which name of Mumtaz Khan figured for bis alleged involvement in entry and passing of trucks illegally across Bhojpur and Rohtas borders. He himself confessed his involvement in it in the video. The SP said that Mumtaz Khan was arrested on the basis of  confession of his involvement in the entry and passing of overloaded trucks illegally across Rohtas and Bhojpur borders. He said that name of some police personnel of Rohtas district had also cropped up in this connection but no one would be spared.

The SP said that Mumtaz Khan collected illegal money from overloaded trucks during night. The matter came to light after arrest of five police personnel including an SI of Bhojpur for realising money from the trucks. He said that some police personnel were in constant touch with Mumtaz Khan and he is taking printout of his mobile phone CDR.
