Ara : Bhojpur police have lodged a named FIR against 11 drug peddlers and arrested 9 of them from Gangi area under Ara Town police station (PS). Police also seized 15 gram of Heroin and Rs 7 lakh cash from their possession. They were sent to jail after interrogation. Police are conducting raids to arrest the rest two drug peddlers.
The arrested drug peddlers are identified as Vivek Kumar of Daulatpur under Ara Muffasil police station; Surya Dev Pratap Singh of Bindgawa; Rohit Kumar and Pramod Kumar of Babura; Shashi Bhushan Yadav and Shiv Nand Kishore Ram of Bhatu Chakia, Barhara, in Bhojpur District; Chitranjan Kumar, Rohit Kumar of Gogai Tola, Prakash Kuamr of Vibhuti Nagar under Danapur PS, Patna.
Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari said that several complaints were pouring in regarding sale and purchase of drugs after which he formed a police team under ASP cum SDPO, Himanshu. The police team conducted raids at Gangi locality under Ara Town PS and arrested nine drug peddlers and also seized 15 gram of heroin and Rs 7 lakh cash from their possession.
