Ara : A 25 year old man belonging to village Rampur under Barhara police station (PS) in Bhojpur District tested positive for novel Coronavirus on April 19, 2020. He is admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. This is the first Coronavirus positive case in Bhojpur District.
As the news about three Rampur residents coming from Balia, UP, spread in the area, Bhojpur district administration got active and a team of doctors rushed to the spot and the patient was admitted to the isolation ward at Ara Sadar Hospital. A team of doctors is examining the patient and the entire Ara Sadar Hospital has been quarantined and no one is being allowed to go near the isolation ward. Officials of Bhojpur district administration are trying to know his travel history.
Ara Sadar SDO Arun Prakash also rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital. SDO Arun Prakash, said that Barhara police station had got three Rampur residents tested for Coronavirus on April 18, 2020, after getting information from the villagers that they had come from Balia, UP, after attending the last rites of a person there. After medical examination, the report of one of them was found positive on April 19, 2020, while the other two tested negative.
