Ara : With a view to providing education to all the children under the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Bhojpur District Education Officer (DEO) Avanindra Kumar Sinha convened a meeting of all the Praswikrit Primary Schools on the campus of Zila School on August 19, 2017.
Altogether 211 primary schools were called at the meeting but the representatives of 22 schools did not turn up. The DEO has asked them to show cause within 24 hours failing which action would be taken against the schools concerned.
The DEO has also asked for the lists of the weaker section students admitted under 25 % quota for free admission in all the 211 such schools in Class 1 and below from academic year 2011-2012 to 2017-2018. He has also directed them to submit CDs of such lists to his office.
