Ara : Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), Bhojpur, served show cause notices on 30 magistrates and 10 police officers on September 28, 2017, evening for dereliction of duty and directed them to submit their reply within 24 hours through their respective controlling officers. The DDC also asked them to explain as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against them for dereliction of duty.
Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar had deputed magistrates and police personnel in the control room to maintain law and order during Durga Puja and Muharram from September 27 to October 2, 2017, with a warning that stern action would be taken against them if they were found absent from their place of posting. But the magistrates and some police personnel were found absent during surprise visit by the senior officials.
Show cause notices were served on Jayant Kumar, Umesh Kumar Sahu, Raj Laxmi, Arti Rani Verma, Kavita Rani, Arti Kumari, Pushpa Rani, Archana Lal, Renu Kumari, Abha Kumari, Sushma Rani, Pratibha Kumari, Ramanikant Suraj, Manish Kumar, Satish Kumar, Md. Shahid Ali, Srikant Kumar, Naresh Kumar Srivastava, Shashi Kuamar Verma, Ravi Kumar, Kamala Sinha, Manorama Kumari, Naresh Pandit, all executive power and deputed at different places, and Ashok Kumar, Awadhesh Kumar Singh, Bipin Bihari, Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Ram Chandra Prasad, Nand Ji Ram, Kamakhya Narayan Singh, Baban Prasad Singh, Upendra Nath Sharma and Vishnu Upadhayaya, all police officers.
