Ara : Bhojpur police arrested three persons including two women in connection with kidnapping and forced marriage of teenage girl. Police have recovered the girl. Police sent all the three arrested persons to jail after interrogation. The girl was produced before an Ara court on April 7, 2021, to get her statement recorded under section 164 of CrPC.
The arrested persons were identified as Bholu Yadav, Divyanti Devi, and her sister Meena Devi of Raghopur Diara in Vaishali District in North Bihar. Bholu Yadav and Divyanti Devi are live at Bakshi Nagar, Patna.
Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai said that two woman Divyanti Devi and Meena Devi decoyed a teenage girl of a village under Gajrajganj police outpost area in Bhojpur district on the pretext of taking to her aunt and kidnapped her. Later, they took her to Patna where they allegedly sold her to Bholu Yadav at Patna for some money and also forcibly got her married to him at a temple at Patna.
The family members of the girl had lodged an FIR with Gajrajganj police outpost in connection with her kidnapping. After institution of FIR, police swung into action and arrested Meena Devi. During interrogation, she revealed the story and on her revelation, police arrested Divynati Devi and Bholu Yadav and also recovered the girl from Patna.
The SP stated that police are investigating the matter. He said that police sent all the three persons to jail after interrogation. Police also brought the girl to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before a a local court to get her statement recorded under section 164 of CrPC on April 7, 2021.
On the other hand, the girl alleged that she was forcibly married to a person in a room where he outraged her modesty.
