Beur Central Jail raided, cellphones and red diary seized

Patna : A Patna police team led by SSP Manu Maharaaj conducted raid at the high security Beur Central Jail in the wee hours on January 24. The team comprised 150 cops from 25 police stations. Police searched every ward of the jail including that of Naxal leader Ajay Kanhu, criminal turned politician Ritlal Yadav, MLC, and Mokama MLA icianAnant 0Singh.urned

The search continued for  over three  hours. The SSP said that police recovered several objectionable items including Seven cellphones, Charger, Ganja, Chilum, and Khaini from there.The SSP said that police recovered a red diary from the cell of  Ajay Kanhu with codes written in it. He said that it is a matter of investigation that how these things weree smuggled inside the jail.
