Patna : Bengal were all out for 381 in 161 overs in their first innings in the Ranji Trophy Final against Saurashtra at Saurashtra Cricket Association Ground, Rajkot, Gujarat, in the first session of play of Day 5 on March 13, 2020, giving the vital first innings lead to the hosts to claim on their maiden Ranji Trophy title provided nothing dramatic happens place in the second session. Saurashtra were 38/1 in their second innings at lunch losing the wicket of opener Harvik Desai, who fell to Shahbaz Ahmed for 21 at stroke of lunch.

Medium fast bowler Akash Deep, 23, who had taken 4 wickets in Saurashtra’s first innings, was run out.
