Belinda Bencic & Sofia Kenin to clash in WTA Mallorca Open final

Gurugram ( Haryana) : World No 13 Belinda Bencic, 22, Switzerland, entered the final of WTA Mallorca Open, Mallorca, Spain, on June 22, 2019, night, beating top seed and reigning Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber, 31, Germany, in a three-set thriller in the semi-finals.

Bencic upset World No 6 Kerber 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 coming from behind. Bencic will face World No 30 Sofia Kenin, 20, USA, in the final at 8 pm on June 23, 2019. Kenin upset World No 12 Anastasija Sevastova in the first semi-final on June 22, 2019.

Bencic fired 7 Aces in the match to 4 by Kerber. Kerber, however, won 3 break points in the match to 2 by Bencic. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. The German also won 66 service points to 64 by the fast rising Swiss player.
