BEd students stage demonstration before VC, VKSU

Ara : The students of different BEd colleges on August 18, staged demonstration before the office of  the Vice-Chancellor (VC), VKSU, Ara, to protest arbitrary realisation of fees from them by the colleges concerned. Later, a delegation of the BEd students met the Dean, Students Welfare (DSW), Paras Rai and apprised him of their plight. DSW Rai assured them to take appropriate action in this regard.

DSW Rai said that the management of the B Ed colleges were wrong as no college can realise excess amount from the students under any circumstances. He asked the students to lodge complaint if any college realises excess amount from them. He said that an inquiry committee had been set up to inquire into the earlier complaints against some private BEd colleges and inquiry was going on. The DSW said that admission to BEd course will be held at college level whether they are affiliated or constituent but the rest of the procedures will be centralized from this session.
