Patna : Top seed and World No 1 Ashleigh Barty, 25, Australia; 2nd seed Aryna Sabalenka, 23, Belarus, 8th seed Karolina Pliskova, 29, Czech Republic, and 21st seed Ons Jabeur, 26, Tunisia, reached the quarter-finals  of Wimbledon championships on July 5, 2021.

Barty beat reigning French Open champion & 14th seed Barbora Krejcikova, 25, Czech Republic, in straight sets 7-5, 6-3 in 4th round on Court 1, All England Club, Wimbledon, London, UK, to enter the QFs. Barty won 4 break points during the match to 2 by World No 17 Krejcikova. Both the players won 3 games each in a row during the match. The Australian fired 7 Aces in the match to 4 by Krejcikova. Barty though also committed 5 double faults to 4 by the Czech. Barty, in all, won 81 points to 68 by Krejcikova.

World N 0 13 Pliskova brushed aside World No 65 Ludmilla Samsonova, 22, Russia, in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 in 4th round on Court 12.  pliskova hammered 10 Aes during the match to 2 by Ludmilla. The Czech won 4 break points during the match to 1 by the Russian. Pliskova also won 6 games in a row in the match to 2 by Ludmilla. Pliskova, in all, won 66 points to 48 by Ludmilla.

World Ni 24 Ons Jabeur, 26, Tunisia, beat 7th seed & 2020 French Open champion Iga Swiatek, 20, Poland, in three-sets 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 in 4th round on Court 2 coming from behind. Jabeur fired 8 Aces in the match to 2 by the Pole. The Tunisian won 7 break points during the match to 3 by World No 9 Swiatek. Jabeur won 5 games in a row during the match to 4 by Swiatek. Jabeur, in all, won 92 points during the match to 65 by Swiatek. Jabeur will face Sabalenka in QFs on July 6, 2021.
