New Delhi : The President of India on September 9, 2021, night, appointed Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Tamil Nadu holding additional charge of the Governor of Punjab, as regular Governor of Punjab. The President of India has accepted the resignation of Baby Rani Maurya as Governor of Uttarakhand.
The President of India has appointed R N Ravi, Governor of Nagaland, as Governor of Tamil Nadu while Lt. Gen (retd). Gurmit Singh has been appointed as as Governor of Uttarakhand.
Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam, has been appointed to discharge the functions of the Governor of Nagaland in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangement is made, according to a PIB release.The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
