Bank official attempts suicide

Ara : Uma Shankar Singh, Branch Manager, Central Cooperative Bank, Charpokhari branch,  tried to commit suicide on December 30 by consuming poison at his office. Later, he was rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital in a precarious condition. The reason behind the incident is yet to be known. Singh came to his office as ever but was tense. He first attempted to set himself ablaze and when failed in his attempt, he consumed poison to commit suicide.
