Bank officer’s wife lodges FIR against him, 5 others in Buxar

Buxar : Khushi Verma, wife of a bank Manager, lodged a named FIR against her husband and 5 others with Brahmpur police station in Buxar district on July 3, 2018, evening, for allegedly attempting to burn her to death for dowry.

Khushi Verma said that she was married to Vikas Verma, a Manager in the Gramin Bank, Rohtas, in March 2018 and ever since he and his family members were torturing her both physically and mentally for dowry. She alleged that on July 3 morning, her husband and family members sprinkled kerosene oil on her and tried to burn her to death. She somehow managed to escape from the house to safety and with the help of the locals reached hospital.

Vikas Verma refuted all the charges and said that her family members forced him to keep his wife at the place of his posting but as his service is new, he is not in a position to keep her with him and so Khushi Verma created such scene.

SHO, Brahmpur police station, Ganesh Ram said that on the statement of Khushi Verma a named FIR was lodged against six persons and police are investigating the matter and added that the guilty would not be spared.
