Bagaha : Pakhauli police on May 16, 2017, Tuesday, arrested a State Bank of India (SBI), Bagaha branch, employee Angad Prasad, for boozing. Pathakauli police outpost incharge Subhas Mukhiya said the bank employee working as counter cashier at SBI, Bagaha branch, in West Champaran district was found drunk and  was examined a doctor and subsequently sent to jail.

Smuggler arrested : According to a report received here from Border outpost Valmikinagar, SSB jawans of 21st battalion on May 16 arrested a trader Jitendra Bind of Rewahiya in  Nawalparasi district in Nepal, with 36 bottles of Nepali liquor. The smuggler was trying to cross porous border via valmiknagar forest rout. SSB inspector Kali Das said that the smuggler and seized Nepali liquor was handed over to Valmikinagar police station for needful the same day.
