Patna : Bangladesh beat West Indies by 64 runs in the first cricket test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong, Bangladesh, on the third day of the match on November 24, 2018, with spinner Taijul Islam taking 6/33 in 11.2 overs. Chasing a target of 204, West Indies were all out for 139 in 35.2 overs in the third session of the play on the day.
Opting to bat after winning the toss on November 22, 2018, Bangladesh scored 324 in their first innings with Mominul Haque scoring 12o with 10 fours and a six, captain Shakib Al Hasan made 34, and opener Imrul Kayes 44. West Indies were all out for 246 in their first innings with Shimron Hetmyer scoring 63 and wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich an unbeaten 63.
