Patna : Bagladesh scored 139/8 in 20 overs against India in the Nidahas Trophy tri-series T20I at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka, on March 8, 2018, with Jaidev Unadkat taking 3/38 and all rounder Vijay Shankar 2/32. Spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sunder bowled beautifully and gave away only 42 runs between them in 8 overs. Chahal took 1/19 in 4 overs. Washington Sunder went wicketless but gave away only 23 runs in 4 overs. Shardul Thakur took 1/25.

For Bangladesh, Liton Das and Sabbir Rahman scored 34 and 30 runs respectively. Opener Tamim Iqbal was out for 15 to fast bowler Shardul Thakur. Unadkat accounted for Soumya Sarkar ( 14), Sabbir Rahman, and Mehidy Hasan (7). Vijay Shankar took the wickets of wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahman (18) and Captain Mahmudullah (1). Chahal took the wicket of Liton Das. Rubel Hossain was run out for 1.

India won the toss but elected to bowl first. It is India’s second match in the tri-series. India had lost their first match to Sri Lanka on March 6, 2018.
