Patna : Bangladesh (BAN) were blown away for a paltry 126 runs in 41.2 overs in their first innings in 2nd test against New Zealand (NZ) close to stumps on day 2 as fast medium bowler Trent Boult, 32, took 5/43 in 13.2 overs crossing 300 wicket marks in tests ( 301) while fellow fast medium bowler Tim Southee, 33, took 3/28 in 12 overs.  Fast bowler Kyle Jamieson took 2./32 in 9 overs. BAN trail by 395 runs. It was Boult’s 9th five-wicket haul in tests. BAN were reduced to 11/4 after 6.1 overs  before tea and later 27/5 after 11.2 overs. BAN had won the toss and opted to bowl.

For BAN, Yasir Ali scored 55 runs in 95 balls with 7 fours while Nurul Hasan (wk) scored 41 runs in 62 balls smashing 6 fours. Captain Mominul Haq ue fell to Tim Southee for zero while Liton Das fell to Boult for 4. Nurul Hasan and Yasir Ali added 60 runs for 6th wicket.

Earlier resuming at their overnight score of 349/1, NZ declared their first innings at 521/6 in 128.5 overs with Captain (opener) Tom Latham scoring 252 runs in 373 balls hitting 34 fours and 2 sixes, his 12th ton in tests, while DEvon Conway scored 109 in 166 balls with 12 fours and 1 six, his 3rd century in tests.Latham and Conway added 215 funs for 2nd wicket. Latham fell to spinner Mominul Haque ( captain) while Conway was run out. Ross Taylor fell to medium fast bowler Ebadot Hossain for 28 runs.
