B Sai Praneeth is World No 13 in BWF rankings, Kashyap also jumps 5 places

Patna : B Sai Praneeth, 27, India, has jumped 2 places to be ranked World No 13 with 55,500 points in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on September 24, 2019, after reaching the QFs at Victor China Open last week. But, Sameer Verma, 24, India, has slipped two places to be ranked World No 18 with 51,389 points.

Kidambi Srikanth, 26, India, remain World No 10 with 60,570 points. H S Prannoy, 27, India, slipped one place to be ranked World No 26 with 40,535 points.

Parupalli Kashyap, 33, India, has jumped 5 places to be ranked World No 30 with 39,360 points after his modest show at Victor China Open. Sourabh Verma, India, has slipped 1 place to be ranked World No 34 with 38,119 points. Subhankar Dey, India, has jumped one ladder to be ranked World No 41 with 34,080 points. Lakshya Sen, 18, India, has slipped 6 ladders to be ranked World No 73 with 23,650 points.

Kento Momota, 24, Japan, stays World No 1 with 1,10,118 points consolidating his position after winning the Victor China Open title bagging 12,000 points. Momota had lost in final of this event in 2018. Chou Tien Che, Taiwan, Shi Yu Qi, China, and Anders Antonsen, Denmark, remain Wlorld No 2, 3 & 4 respectively. Anothony Sinisuka Ginting, Indonesia, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 8 though he failed to retain his Victor China Open title.
