Patna : 4th Seed and 2017 World Champion Viktor Axelsen, 27, Denmark, crushed compatriot Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus, the World No 42,  in straight games in finals to win the men’s singles title at Toyota Thailand Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 1,000 Badminton tournament, at Bangkok, Thailand, on January 24, 2021, his second Super 1,000 singles title in 7 days. Axelsen had won Yonex Thailand Open title on January 17, 2021.

Axelsen demolished Vittinghus, 35,  in straight games 21-11, 21-7 in 40 minutes in finals to lift men’s singles title at Toyota THailand Open. Axelsen won 42 rallies in the match to 18 by Vittinghus. He won 8 consecutive points during the match to 3 by Vittinghus. Axelsen now leads Vittinghus 4-2 Head to Head.

Axelsen bagged 12,000 BWF ranking points and $70,000 for winning the singles title while runner-up Vittinghus got 10,200 ranking points and $34,400.
