Bagaha : An auto-driverĀ Subash Patwa, 40, son of Bhutan Patwa of village Sabhi Chowk under Ramnagar Police Station in Bagaha police district committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree branch on February 24, 2018, morning, at the village. Ramnagar police recovered the body hanging from a tree branch in Bharat Chaudhary’s mango orchard near Sabhi Pokhar (pond) with the neck tied with rope on February 24.

Subash is survived by his wife and three children. It appears he committed suicide due to financial crisis as he was unemployed after after selling his autorickshaw to arrange money for the treatment of his ailing wife Mamata Devi. One of his friends, who had borrowed money from him in the past, was reluctent to pay him back.

SDPO, Ramnagar, Manish Kumar said that a suicide note was also recovered from Subhash Patwa’s pocket. The DPO said Subhash Patwa’s wife Mamata Devi has lodged an FIR with police accusing three persons of abetting suicide. Police have brought the body to Government Sub-divisional Hospital, Bagaha, for autopsy.
