Patna : Australia beat Pakistan by 20 runs in the 5th ODI at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, UAE, on March 31, 2019, late night, sweeping the five-match series 5-0. Pakistan won the toss but opted to bowl. Batting first Australia scored 327/7 in 50 0vers with openers : Usman Khawaja and Aaron Finch (captain), scoring 98 and 53 runs respectively while Shaun Marsh scored 61 and Glen Maxwell 70.

Chasing a target of 328, Pakistan scored 307/7 in 50 overs with opener Shan Masood scoring 50 and Haris Sohail 130. Captain Imad Wasim scored 50 while Umar Akmal scored 43. Sohail scored 130 in 129 balls hitting 11 fours and 3 sixes while Masood scored 50 in 54 balls hitting 3 fours. Imad Wasim made 50 in 34 balls hitting 6 fours and a six.

For Australia, fast bowler Jason Behrendorff took 3/63 in 8 overs while Jane Richardson, Nathan Lyon, Glen Maxwell, and Adam Zampa took one wicket each.

Glen Maxwell was named Player of the Match while Aaron Finch was named Player of the Series. Australia have won 8 consecutive ODIs including 3 against India.
