Patna : Australia were all out for 454 in 150.1 overs in their first innings at tea in the third test against New Zealand (NZ) on Day 2 at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, Australia, with their batting sensation Marnus Labuschagne scoring 215 in 363 balls hitting 19 fours and a six, his 4th test century in 14 tests and second in the on going series.
For NZ, Neil Wagner and Colin de Grandhomme took three wickets each while spinner Todd Astle took two wickets. Matt Henry and William Somerville took one wicket each.
Resuming at their overnight score of 283/3, Australia lost their fourth wicket that of Matthew Wade at 288. Wade fell to Somerville for 22 with 2 fours and a six making it 288/4. Travis Head fell to Matt Henry for 10 and it 331/5. Labuschagne and Captain Tim Paine (wk) then added 79 runs for the 6th wicket. Paine fell to Grandhomme for 35 in 92 balls with 3 fours and it was 410/6. Labuschagne soon fell to Todd Astle and it was 410/7. James Pattinson fell to Wagner for 2 making it 426/8. Pat Cummins fell to Astle for 8 makings it 430/9. Fastbowler Mitchell Starc fell to Wagner for 22 in 21 balls hitting a four and a six.
In reply, NZ were 49/0 after 21 overs in their first innings with openers Tom Blundell and Tom Latham unbeaten on 24 and 22 runs respectively. NZ trail by 405 runs.
