Patna : Australia were 165/4 at stumps on the second day of first Ashes test against EnglandĀ  at Brisbane Cricket Ground ( Woolloongabba), Brisbane, Australia, on November 24, 2017, with Captain Steve Smith 64 not out in 148 balls and Shaun Marsh on 44 not out in 122 balls at the crease.

Opener David Warner was out for 26 while Usman Khwaja made 11. Cameroon Bencroft, making his debut, made only 5 runs while P Handscomb made 14.

Earlier, resuming at 196/4, England were all out for 302 in 116.4 overs with Dawid Malan making 56 on the second day stitching a partnership of 83 with Moen Ali. On the first day on November 23, 2017, James Vince had made 83.
