Patna: Soon after joining as SP, Aurangabad, Satyaprakash has issued show-cause notices to 24 Station House Officers (SHOs) as they were found wanting in duty. He also placed under suspension a sub-inspector (SI) rank officer and five constables as they were found taking nap during duty hours.
On Monday night, Satyaprakash moved to different parts of the town to see the condition of night patrolling. He found an SI Ramnand Sharma and five constables posted at Rishiyam police station sleeping otaking a nap during duty hours. Incensed over it, the SP placed them under suspension. Satyaprakash also slapped show-cause notices on 24 SHOs as he found that theyhad failed to arrest absconding criminals within stipulated period.
Later, Satyaprakash said that police officials should work withing the timeframe. He also warned them of stern action if the cops are found wanting in duty.
