Patna: With mercury fast dipping low in Aurangabad district during past few days, district magistrate (DM) Kawal Tanuj on December  5 ordered for closure of all schools including government and private ones from December 6 to December 10, 2016.

As per a press release issued by DM’s office on Monday evening, Tanuj has directed District Education Officer, Aurangabad, and Sub-divisional magistrates of Aurangabad and Daudnagar to ensure strict compliance of the order. He said that any further extension of the closure would be duly communicated to all to the officials concerned after reviewing the prevailing cold wave situation in the district.he

Talking to this scribe, Tanuj said he has also directed Sub-divisional magistrate (Sadar) to take strict action against school managements if they open their schools during this period. He said that he has also asked the officials to distribute blankets among the poor particularly those living under open sky. Arrangements had also been made for bonfire at several places in the urban as well as rural areas, he added.
