Sasaram : Assistant Manager, State Food Corporation of (SFC), Rohtas, Anil Kumar, was on February 4, 2019, placed under suspension for allegedly misappropriating about 4,900 quintal of wheat and rice worth about Rs 1.55 crore from the godown of the SFC. It was meant to be supplied to the Public Distribution System (PDS).

District Manager, SFC, Sudhir Kumar, said that the Assistant Manager, SFC, Anil Kumar was incharge of SFCs of Dawath and Dinara blocks in Rohtas district. On the complaint of shortage of wheat and rice in the godown, an inquiry was ordered on the direction of DM,  Rohtas, Pankaj Dixit. The inquiry team found huge shortage of wheat and rice worth about Rs 1.55 crore at the godowns of the SFC at Dawath and Dinara blocks. Acting on the inquiry report, named FIRs were lodged with Dinara and Dawath police stations against Assistant Manager Anil Kumar. His salary was also withheld. A certificate case has also been filed against him.That apart, departmental action has also been recommended against him.

District Manager, SFC, Sudhir Kumar said that about 3,100 quintal of wheat and rice worth about Rs 1 crore from Dinara SFC godwon  and 1,800 quintal of wheat and rice worth about Rs 55 lakh from Dinara SFC godown were found missing.
